From initially producing and selling just five varieties of fudge on a small market stall in the centre of Rochdale, this family run business has gone from strength to strength, gaining recognition as the North West’s formidable fudge confectionery supplier to specialised outlets, department stores, hamper companies, theme parks and seaside resorts up and down the country. Our fabulous Fudge Factory merchandise has been found on shelves as far away as Spain and Italy. We cater to the needs of our retail consumer and for wholesale customers alike. With an enormous range of hand-crafted, fine quality fudge, truffle, nougat, toffee and chocolate products, we have grown remarkably since those original five flavours.
We now employ a specialist core staff of chocolatiers and confectionery makers here at The Fudge Factory, Lancashire. Together, we continue to follow the traditional methods and recipes involved in age old sugar boiling procedures using our four huge copper pans, in order to capture and maintain that wonderful taste of yesteryear. Our experts won’t stop there though. Continuously developing their finely-tuned skills, new and exciting varieties and flavours are brought out every year. From subtle changes and delicate flavours, to a full-on taste explosion, our expert team continue to surprise and astonish with each and every new creation.
Now situated in the heart of Rossendale, in Pippin Bank our large premises consist of our exciting visitors’ centre where you can enjoy an amazing fudge making spectacle live on screen, our charming Vanilla Fudge Tea room serving an appetizing selection of snacks, light-bites, lunches and meals, all homemade and ready for your consumption in our fully licensed premises.
Our fantastic Fudge Factory Shop displays the most vibrantly coloured, sweet scented delights all packaged to perfection for you to buy and take home as a souvenir or as a gift for someone else. From traditional fudge flavours to the more exotic, outlandish varieties of confectionery, we cater for every possible taste and delectation.
Over the years we have accumulated many awards for our wonderful delicacies and new and innovative confectionery creations. From our Bailey’s flavour truffle to our clotted cream flavour fudge, we can’t resist the combining and pairing of such sublime and complementary ingredients.

Our comprehensive range of truffles is equally as impressive, from Bailey’s flavour to champagne, Grande Marnier flavour to the sweet taste of almond essence. The list is endless. Speciality hand made nougats are a rare treat and are as varied and exciting as the rest, including our successful Montpellier nougat, along with our more traditional cherries and nuts. Our toffees include butter toffee, treacle, Brazil nut toffee and Banana Split, something delicious to get your teeth in to. All as scrumptious as the next delightful piece of fine sugar confectionery.

We offer you the fabulous opportunity to come and watch exactly how fudge is made. From the screens in our Vanilla Fudge Tea room, you can watch how all the action takes place in the factory workshop right next door. You will be able to watch how a variety of ingredients are placed in the huge copper pans, then mixed together and brought up to the highest possible boiling temperatures. The mixture is then laid out onto cast iron cooling trays where it is allowed to rest and set. Once cooled it is then portioned out using special cutters before being carefully wrapped for your consumption.
